Then the man bowed down and worshiped the Lord.

He said to his servants, “Stay here with the donkey. I and the boy will go over there and worship. Then we’ll come back to you.”

She continued, “We have plenty of straw and feed for your camels. We also have room for you to spend the night.”

And I bowed down and worshiped the Lord. I praised the Lord, the God of my master Abraham. He had led me on the right road. He had led me to get for my master’s son the granddaughter of my master’s brother.

Abraham’s servant heard what they said. So he bowed down to the Lord with his face to the ground.

Then David said to the whole community, “Praise the Lord your God.” So all of them praised the Lord. He’s the God of their people who lived long ago. The whole community bowed low. They fell down flat with their faces toward the ground. They did it in front of the Lord and the king.

All rich people of the earth will feast and worship God. All who go down to the grave will kneel in front of him. Those who cannot keep themselves alive will kneel.

Everyone on earth bows down to you. They sing praise to you. They sing the praises of your name.”

May the desert tribes bow down to him. May his enemies lick the dust.

Come, let us bow down and worship him. Let us fall on our knees in front of the Lord our Maker.

Tell them, ‘It’s the Passover sacrifice to honor the Lord. He passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt. He spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.’ ” Then the Israelites bowed down and worshiped.

When the name of Jesus is spoken, everyone will kneel down to worship him. Everyone in heaven and on earth and under the earth will kneel down to worship him.

Gideon heard the man explain what the dream meant. Then Gideon bowed down and worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel. He called out, “Get up! The Lord has handed the Midianites over to you.”

So now I’m giving him to the Lord. As long as he lives he’ll be given to the Lord.” And there Eli worshiped the Lord.
