But God showed concern for Noah. He also showed concern for all the wild animals and livestock that were with Noah in the ark. So God sent a wind to sweep over the earth. And the waters began to go down.

Then I will remember my covenant between me and you and every kind of living creature. The waters will never again become a flood to destroy all life.

He will keep his covenant forever. He will keep his promise for all time to come.

After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The people of Israel groaned because they were slaves. They also cried out to God. Their cry for help went up to him.

God heard their groans. He remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The Lord said, “I have seen how my people are suffering in Egypt. I have heard them cry out because of their slave drivers. I am concerned about their suffering.

But the king of Egypt said, “Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their work? Get back to work!”

When they suffered, he suffered with them. He sent his angel to save them. He set them free because he is loving and kind. He lifted them up and carried them. He did it again and again in days long ago.

He has helped the people of Israel, who serve him. He has always remembered to be kind

He has been kind to our people of long ago. He has remembered his holy covenant.
