In the grave, sinful people don’t cause trouble anymore. And there tired people find rest.

It’s like the special olive oil that was poured on Aaron’s head. It ran down on his beard and on the collar of his robe.

The cheerful look of a messenger brings joy to your heart. And good news gives health to your body.

You should want a good name more than you want great riches. To be highly respected is better than having silver or gold.

If you do, someone might hear it and put you to shame. And the charge against you will stand.

Perfume and incense bring joy to your heart. And the sweetness of a friend comes from their honest advice.

Dead flies give perfume a bad smell. And a little foolishness can make a lot of wisdom useless.

Then I announced that those who have already died are happier than those who are still alive.

The end of a matter is better than its beginning. So it’s better to be patient than proud.

The lotion you have on pleases me. Your name is like perfume that is poured out. No wonder the young women love you!

My bride, your love is so delightful. My sister, your love makes me happier than wine does. Your perfume smells better than any spice.

All these people were praised because they had faith. But none of them received what God had promised.

Then I heard a voice from heaven. “Write this,” it said. “Blessed are the dead who die as believers in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Holy Spirit. “They will rest from their labor. What they have done will not be forgotten.”

So she stayed at his feet until morning. But she got up before anyone could be recognized. Boaz thought, “No one must know that a woman came to the threshing floor.”
