Even your clothes are too hot for you when the land lies quiet under the south wind.

The storm comes out of its storeroom in the heavens. The cold comes from the driving winds.

He spoke and stirred up a storm. It lifted the waves high.

He made the storm as quiet as a whisper. The waves of the ocean calmed down.

Every stream flows into the ocean. But the ocean never gets full. The streams return to the place they came from.

You don’t know the path the wind takes. You don’t know how a baby is made inside its mother. So you can’t understand how God works either. He made everything.

But the Lord sent a strong wind over the Mediterranean Sea. A wild storm came up. It was so wild that the ship was in danger of breaking apart.

“So then, everyone who hears my words and puts them into practice is like a wise man. He builds his house on the rock.

The rain comes down. The water rises. The winds blow and beat against that house. And it falls with a loud crash.”

The wind blows where it wants to. You hear the sound it makes. But you can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going. It is the same with everyone who is born with the Spirit.”
