Acts 16:31

They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus. Then you and everyone living in your house will be saved.”

I will make my covenant with you last forever. It will be between me and you and your family after you for all time to come. I will be your God. And I will be the God of all your family after you.

I have chosen him. He must direct his children to live in the way that pleases me. And he must direct the members of his family after him to do the same. So he must guide all of them in doing what is right and fair. Then I, the Lord, will do for Abraham what I have promised him.”

“All you who live anywhere on earth, turn to me and be saved. I am God. There is no other God.

I will give them a single purpose in life. Then, they will always have respect for me. Then all will go well for them. And it will also go well for their children after them.

“The Babylonians are very proud. What they want is not good. “But the person who is godly will live by his faithfulness.

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who does not believe will be punished.

Some people did accept him and did believe in his name. He gave them the right to become children of God.

But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God. If you believe this, you will have life because you belong to him.

Anyone who believes in the Son has eternal life. Anyone who does not believe in the Son will not have life. God’s anger remains on them.”

My Father wants all who look to the Son and believe in him to have eternal life. I will raise them up on the last day.”

What I’m about to tell you is true. Everyone who believes has life forever.

No! We believe we are saved through the grace of our Lord Jesus. The Gentiles are saved in the same way.”

She and her family were baptized. Then she invited us to her home. “Do you consider me a believer in the Lord?” she asked. “If you do, come and stay at my house.” She succeeded in getting us to go home with her.

They spoke the word of the Lord to him. They also spoke to all the others in his house.

Crispus was the synagogue leader. He and everyone living in his house came to believe in the Lord. Many others who lived in Corinth heard Paul. They too believed and were baptized.

You can’t be saved by believing in anyone else. God has given people no other name under heaven that will save them.”

As they traveled along the road, they came to some water. The official said, “Look! Here is water! What can stop me from being baptized?”

The first handful of dough that is offered is holy. This makes all of the dough holy. If the root is holy, so are the branches.

Christ Jesus set us free so that the blessing given to Abraham would come to the Gentiles through Christ. He did it so that we might receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. The promised Spirit comes by believing in Christ.

But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin. It does so in order that what was promised might be given to those who believe. The promise comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God by believing in Christ.
