He gave a blessing to Abram. He said, “May the Most High God bless Abram. May the Creator of heaven and earth bless him.

He gave to each Israelite man and woman a loaf of bread. He also gave each one a date cake and a raisin cake. Then all the people went home.

The whole community of Israel was standing there. The king turned around and gave them his blessing.

May no one who passes by say to those who hate Zion, “May the blessing of the Lord be on you. We bless you in the name of the Lord.”

Moses looked over the work carefully. He saw that the workers had done it just as the Lord had commanded. So Moses gave them his blessing.

God raised up Jesus, who serves him. God sent him first to you. He did it to bless you. He wanted to turn each of you from your evil ways.”

Joshua gave the eastern tribes his blessing. Then he sent them home. So they went.
