I will get rid of anyone who tells lies about their neighbor in secret. I won’t put up with anyone whose eyes and heart are proud.

They don’t tell lies about other people. They don’t do wrong to their neighbors. They don’t say anything bad about them.

You have taken my friends and neighbors away from me. Darkness is my closest friend.

“Do not be a false witness against your neighbor.

Witnesses who aren’t honest will die. But anyone who listens carefully will be a successful witness.

Don’t trust your neighbors. Don’t put your faith in your friends. Be careful what you say even to your own wife.

How terrible it will be for them! They have followed the way of Cain. They have rushed into the same mistake Balaam made. They did it because they loved money. They are like Korah. He turned against his leaders. These people will certainly be destroyed, just as Korah was.
