Micaiah announced, “Do you really think you will return safely? If you do, the Lord hasn’t spoken through me.” He continued, “All of you people, remember what I’ve said!”

No wisdom, wise saying or plan can succeed against the Lord.

A curse given for no reason is like a wandering bird or a flying sparrow. It doesn’t go anywhere.

“Do not stop him,” Jesus said. “For no one who does a miracle in my name can in the next moment say anything bad about me.

Do I brag too much about the authority the Lord gave me? If I do, it’s because I want to build you up, not tear you down. And I’m not ashamed of that kind of bragging.

That’s why I write these things before I come to you. Then when I do come, I won’t have to be hard on you when I use my authority. The Lord gave me the authority to build you up. He didn’t give it to me to tear you down.

I pray to God that you won’t do anything wrong. I don’t pray so that people will see that I have passed the test. Instead, I pray this so that you will do what is right, even if it seems I have failed.

I’m glad when I am weak but you are strong. I pray that there will be no more problems among you.

Hymenaeus and Alexander are among them. I have handed them over to Satan. That will teach them not to speak evil things against God.
