They belonged to the king and his sons. He sent for the palace officials and the warriors. He also sent for all the brave fighting men.

Then King David spoke to the whole community. He said, “God has chosen my son Solomon. But Solomon is young. He’s never done anything like this before. The task is huge. This grand and wonderful temple won’t be built for human beings. It will be built for the Lord God.

2 Chronicles 1:3

Solomon and the whole community went to the high place at Gibeon. That’s because God’s tent of meeting was there. The Lord’s servant Moses had made the tent in the desert.

2 Chronicles 29:20

Early the next morning King Hezekiah gathered together the city officials. They all went up to the Lord’s temple.
