David became more and more powerful. That’s because the Lord God who rules over all was with him.

When Saul saw how successful David was, he became afraid of him.

Once more war broke out. So David went out and fought against the Philistines. He struck them down with so much force that they ran away from him.

As Samuel grew up, the Lord was with him. He made everything Samuel said come true.
