The Lord says to my lord, “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your control.”

“ ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your control.” ’ (Psalm 110:1)

Then Jesus came to them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

The Holy Spirit spoke through David himself. David said, “ ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your control.” ’ (Psalm 110:1)

When the Lord Jesus finished speaking to them, he was taken up into heaven. He sat down at the right hand of God.

David himself says in the Book of Psalms, “ ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand

If the Son brings glory to God, God himself will bring glory to the Son. God will do it at once.

“Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking at the sky? Jesus has been taken away from you into heaven. But he will come back in the same way you saw him go.”

Heaven must receive him until the time when God makes everything new. He promised this long ago through his holy prophets.

Then who can sentence us to death? No one. Christ Jesus is at the right hand of God and is also praying for us. He died. More than that, he was raised to life.

I am absolutely sure that not even death or life can separate us from God’s love. Not even angels or demons, the present or the future, or any powers can separate us.

Then the end will come after Christ destroys all rule, authority and power. Then he will hand over the kingdom to God the Father.

You have been raised up with Christ. So think about things that are in heaven. That is where Christ is. He is sitting at God’s right hand.

God never said to an angel, “Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your control.” (Psalm 110:1)

The Son is the shining brightness of God’s glory. He is the exact likeness of God’s being. He uses his powerful word to hold all things together. He provided the way for people to be made pure from sin. Then he sat down at the right hand of the King, the Majesty in heaven.

God’s first and only Son is over all things. When God brings him into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” (Deuteronomy 32:43)

Jesus our priest offered one sacrifice for sins for all time. Then he sat down at the right hand of God.

Let us keep looking to Jesus. He is the one who started this journey of faith. And he is the one who completes the journey of faith. He paid no attention to the shame of the cross. He suffered there because of the joy he was looking forward to. Then he sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We have a great high priest. He has gone up into heaven. He is Jesus the Son of God. So let us hold firmly to what we say we believe.

That is where Jesus has gone. He went there to open the way ahead of us. He has become a high priest forever, just like Melchizedek.

Here is the main point of what we are saying. We have a high priest like that. He sat down at the right hand of the throne of the King, the Majesty in heaven.

Christ did not enter a sacred tent made with human hands. That tent was only a copy of the true one. He entered heaven itself. He did it to stand in front of God for us. He is there right now.
