Even though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not see him now, you believe in him. You are filled with a glorious joy that can’t be put into words.

Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. The words you hear me say are not my own. They belong to the Father who sent me.

That’s the way it is with you. Now it’s your time to be sad. But I will see you again. Then you will be full of joy. And no one will take away your joy.

Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen me but still have believed.”

Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me. I have come here from God. I have not come on my own. God sent me.

The jailer brought them into his house. He set a meal in front of them. He and everyone who lived with him were filled with joy. They had become believers in God.

God’s kingdom is not about eating or drinking. It is about doing what is right and having peace and joy. All this comes through the Holy Spirit.

May the God who gives hope fill you with great joy. May you have perfect peace as you trust in him. May the power of the Holy Spirit fill you with hope.

If anyone does not love the Lord, let a curse be on that person! Come, Lord!

He put his Spirit in our hearts and marked us as his own. We can now be sure that he will give us everything he promised us.

he was taken up to paradise. He heard things there that couldn’t be put into words. They were things that no one is allowed to talk about.

So we don’t spend all our time looking at what we can see. Instead, we look at what we can’t see. That’s because what can be seen lasts only a short time. But what can’t be seen will last forever.

We live by believing, not by seeing.

Let us give thanks to God for his gift. It is so great that no one can tell how wonderful it really is!

But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithful

Circumcision and uncircumcision aren’t worth anything to those who believe in Christ Jesus. The only thing that really counts is faith that shows itself through love.

And may you know his love, even though it can’t be known completely. Then you will be filled with everything God has for you.

May grace be given to everyone who loves our Lord Jesus Christ with a love that will never die.

I’m sure of this. So I know I will remain with you. And I will continue with all of you to help you grow in your faith. I will also continue to help you be joyful in what you have been taught.

But we have been truly circumcised. We serve God by the power of his Spirit. We boast about what Christ Jesus has done. We don’t put our trust in who we are or what we can do.

Always be joyful because you belong to the Lord. I will say it again. Be joyful!

Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.

Because of his faith, Moses left Egypt. It wasn’t because he was afraid of the king’s anger. He didn’t let anything stop him. That’s because he saw the God who can’t be seen.

Because you know all this, you have great joy. You have joy even though you may have had to suffer for a little while. You may have had to suffer sadness in all kinds of trouble.

This stone is very valuable to you who believe. But to people who do not believe, “The stone the builders did not accept has become the most important stone of all.” (Psalm 118:22)

The Chief Shepherd will come again. Then you will receive the crown of glory. It is a crown that will never fade away.
