The Lord answered Elijah’s prayer. He gave the boy’s life back to him. So the boy lived.

Elijah picked up the boy. He carried him down from the upstairs room into the house. He gave him to his mother. He said, “Look! Your son is alive!”

One day some Israelites were burying a man. Suddenly they saw a group of robbers. So they threw the man’s body into Elisha’s tomb. The body touched Elisha’s bones. When it did, the man came back to life again. He stood up on his feet.

Then he went up and touched the coffin. Those carrying it stood still. Jesus said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”

But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!”

Then Jesus called in a loud voice. He said, “Lazarus, come out!”

The people took the young man home. They were greatly comforted because he was alive.

Christ died and came back to life. He did this to become the Lord of both the dead and the living.

“Look! I am the One! There is no other God except me. I put some people to death. I bring others to life. I have wounded, and I will heal. No one can save you from my power.

Women received back their dead. The dead were raised to life again. There were others who were made to suffer greatly. But they refused to be set free. They did this so that after death they would be raised to an even better life.

But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the witnesses. They both stood up. Terror struck those who saw them.

“The Lord causes people to die. He also gives people life. He brings people down to the grave. He also brings people up from death.
