To those who are weak I became weak. That was to win the weak. I have become all things to all people. I have done this so that in all possible ways I might save some.

I hope somehow to stir up my own people to want what you have. Perhaps I can save some of them.

Accept the person whose faith is weak. Don’t argue with them where you have differences of opinion.

One person’s faith allows them to eat anything. But another person eats only vegetables because their faith is weak.

We who have strong faith should help the weak with their problems. We should not please only ourselves.

Each of us should please our neighbors. Let us do what is good for them in order to build them up.

Follow my example. I try to please everyone in every way. I’m not looking out for what is good for me. I’m looking out for the interests of others. I do it so that they might be saved.

Wife, how do you know if you will save your husband? Husband, how do you know if you will save your wife?

So suppose what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin. Then what should I do? I will never eat meat again. In that way, I will not cause them to fall.

I am free and don’t belong to anyone. But I have made myself a slave to everyone. I do it to win as many as I can to Christ.

I do all this because of the good news. And I want to share in its blessings.

If anyone is weak, I feel weak. If anyone is led into sin, I burn on the inside.

Brothers and sisters, what if someone is caught in a sin? Then you who live by the Spirit should correct that person. Do it in a gentle way. But be careful. You could be tempted too.
