Fire goes before him; on every side it burns up his enemies.

Smoke ascended from his nose; fire devoured as it came from his mouth; he hurled down fiery coals.

He made the sky sink as he descended; a thick cloud was under his feet.

Our God approaches and is not silent; consuming fire goes ahead of him and all around him a storm rages.

As I watched, I noticed a windstorm coming from the north – an enormous cloud, with lightning flashing, such that bright light rimmed it and came from it like glowing amber from the middle of a fire.

A river of fire was streaming forth and proceeding from his presence. Many thousands were ministering to him; Many tens of thousands stood ready to serve him. The court convened and the books were opened.

Plague goes before him; pestilence marches right behind him.

(3:19) “For indeed the day is coming, burning like a furnace, and all the arrogant evildoers will be chaff. The coming day will burn them up,” says the Lord who rules over all. “It will not leave even a root or branch.

For a fire has been kindled by my anger, and it burns to lowest Sheol; it consumes the earth and its produce, and ignites the foundations of the mountains.

You approached and stood at the foot of the mountain, a mountain ablaze to the sky above it and yet dark with a thick cloud.

From heaven he spoke to you in order to teach you, and on earth he showed you his great fire from which you also heard his words.

The Lord spoke face to face with you at the mountain, from the middle of the fire.

With flaming fire he will mete out punishment on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

For our God is indeed a devouring fire.

If anyone wants to harm them, fire comes out of their mouths and completely consumes their enemies. If anyone wants to harm them, they must be killed this way.

If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, that person was thrown into the lake of fire.
