I will listen to what God the Lord says. For he will make peace with his people, his faithful followers. Yet they must not return to their foolish ways.

She replied, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you either. Go, and from now on do not sin any more.”]]

You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, proclaiming the good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all) –

God raised up his servant and sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your iniquities.”

But now that you have come to know God (or rather to be known by God), how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless basic forces? Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?

And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with you all.

However, God’s solid foundation remains standing, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from evil.”

Take care not to refuse the one who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the one who warns from heaven?

All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

My lord should not pay attention to this wicked man Nabal. He simply lives up to his name! His name means ‘fool,’ and he is indeed foolish! But I, your servant, did not see the servants my lord sent.
