You pardoned the wrongdoing of your people; you forgave all their sin. (Selah)

“Thus says King Cyrus of Persia: “‘The Lord God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has instructed me to build a temple for him in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

When the Lord restored the well-being of Zion, we thought we were dreaming.

How blessed is the one whose rebellious acts are forgiven, whose sin is pardoned!

Yet he is compassionate. He forgives sin and does not destroy. He often holds back his anger, and does not stir up his fury.

When that time comes, no guilt will be found in Israel. No sin will be found in Judah. For I will forgive those of them I have allowed to survive. I, the Lord, affirm it!’”

There is no other God like you! You forgive sin and pardon the rebellion of those who remain among your people. You do not remain angry forever, but delight in showing loyal love.

Please forgive the iniquity of this people according to your great loyal love, just as you have forgiven this people from Egypt even until now.”

and by this one everyone who believes is justified from everything from which the law of Moses could not justify you.

And even though you were dead in your transgressions and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, he nevertheless made you alive with him, having forgiven all your transgressions.
