Psalm 63:1

O God, you are my God! I long for you! My soul thirsts for you, my flesh yearns for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

He is the Lord our God; he carries out judgment throughout the earth.

I desperately long for your deliverance. I find hope in your word.

Teach me to do what pleases you, for you are my God. May your kind presence lead me into a level land.

I spread my hands out to you in prayer; my soul thirsts for you in a parched land.

But I trust in you, O Lord! I declare, “You are my God!”

Why are you depressed, O my soul? Why are you upset? Wait for God! For I will again give thanks to my God for his saving intervention.

Lord, in the morning you will hear me; in the morning I will present my case to you and then wait expectantly for an answer.

When he struck them down, they sought his favor; they turned back and longed for God.

I desperately want to be in the courts of the Lord’s temple. My heart and my entire being shout for joy to the living God.

I will make streams flow down the slopes and produce springs in the middle of the valleys. I will turn the desert into a pool of water and the arid land into springs.

At that time I will be the God of all the clans of Israel and they will be my people. I, the Lord, affirm it!”

“But I will make a new covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the Lord. “I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be my people.

Then I will return again to my lair until they have suffered their punishment. Then they will seek me; in their distress they will earnestly seek me.

Then I will bring the remaining third into the fire; I will refine them like silver is refined and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name and I will answer; I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”

“When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it passes through waterless places looking for rest but does not find it.

But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Jesus replied, “Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to my Father. Go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
