Hear my plea for mercy when I cry out to you for help, when I lift my hands toward your holy temple!

I say to the Lord, “You are my God.” O Lord, pay attention to my plea for mercy!

O Lord, I cry out to you. Come quickly to me! Pay attention to me when I cry out to you!

May you accept my prayer like incense, my uplifted hands like the evening offering!

I spread my hands out to you in prayer; my soul thirsts for you in a parched land.

But as for me, because of your great faithfulness I will enter your house; I will bow down toward your holy temple as I worship you.

For this reason I will praise you while I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.

Get up! Cry out in the night when the night watches start! Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord! Lift up your hands to him for your children’s lives; they are fainting at every street corner. ר (Resh)

When Daniel realized that a written decree had been issued, he entered his home, where the windows in his upper room opened toward Jerusalem. Three times daily he was kneeling and offering prayers and thanks to his God just as he had been accustomed to do previously.

Then those officials who had gone to the king came by collusion and found Daniel praying and asking for help before his God.

So I want the men to pray in every place, lifting up holy hands without anger or dispute.
