Even when I must walk through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for you are with me; your rod and your staff reassure me.

For all of them, the morning is to them like deep darkness; they are friends with the terrors of darkness.

Let darkness and the deepest shadow claim it; let a cloud settle on it; let whatever blackens the day terrify it!

“Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel,” which means “God with us.”
