Free me from prison, that I may give thanks to your name. Because of me the godly will assemble, for you will vindicate me.

Rest once more, my soul, for the Lord has vindicated you.

Be kind to your servant! Then I will live and keep your instructions.

Your loyal followers will be glad when they see me, for I find hope in your word.

I will sing praises to the Lord when he vindicates me.

The spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me, because the Lord has chosen me. He has commissioned me to encourage the poor, to help the brokenhearted, to decree the release of captives, and the freeing of prisoners,

But God raised him up, having released him from the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held in its power.

Think of how we regard as blessed those who have endured. You have heard of Job’s endurance and you have seen the Lord’s purpose, that the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
