Why do I put myself in peril, and take my life in my hands?

Support me, so that I will be delivered. Then I will focus on your statutes continually.

I learned long ago that you ordained your rules to last. ר (Resh)

For I am like a wineskin dried up in smoke. I do not forget your statutes.

As it is written, “For your sake we encounter death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

Every day I am in danger of death! This is as sure as my boasting in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Are they servants of Christ? (I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times.

Taking an oath, David again said, “Your father is very much aware of the fact that I have found favor with you, and he has thought, ‘Don’t let Jonathan know about this, or he will be upset.’ But as surely as the Lord lives and you live, there is about one step between me and death!”
