Psalm 11:2

For look, the wicked prepare their bows, they put their arrows on the strings, to shoot in the darkness at the morally upright.

The wicked arrogantly chase the oppressed; the oppressed are trapped by the schemes the wicked have dreamed up.

Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, to the morally upright!

Even when my strength leaves me, you watch my footsteps. In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me.

For you make them retreat when you shoot your arrows at them.

Rejoice in the Lord and be happy, you who are godly! Shout for joy, all you who are morally upright!

Evil men draw their swords and prepare their bows, to bring down the oppressed and needy, and to slaughter those who are godly.

The godly will rejoice in the Lord and take shelter in him. All the morally upright will boast.

The Exalted God is my shield, the one who delivers the morally upright.

If a person does not repent, God sharpens his sword and prepares to shoot his bow.

For justice will prevail, and all the morally upright will be vindicated.

The godly bask in the light; the morally upright experience joy.

The Lord says, “These people are like soldiers who have readied their bows. Their tongues are always ready to shoot out lies. They have become powerful in the land, but they have not done so by honest means. Indeed, they do one evil thing after another and do not pay attention to me.

They planned to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him.

Saul said, “I will give her to him so that she may become a snare to him and the hand of the Philistines may be against him.” So Saul said to David, “Today is the second time for you to become my son-in-law.”

When David realized that Saul was planning to harm him, he told Abiathar the priest, “Bring the ephod!”
