The stingy person hastens after riches and does not know that poverty will overtake him.

When they had brought them outside, they said, “Run for your lives! Don’t look behind you or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains or you will be destroyed!”

The plans of the diligent lead only to plenty, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.

The one who oppresses the poor to increase his own gain and the one who gives to the rich – both end up only in poverty.

Do not eat the food of a stingy person, do not crave his delicacies;

A faithful person will have an abundance of blessings, but the one who hastens to gain riches will not go unpunished.

Am I not permitted to do what I want with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous?’

adultery, greed, evil, deceit, debauchery, envy, slander, pride, and folly.

Those who long to be rich, however, stumble into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
