The words of a gossip are like delicious morsels; they go down into a person’s innermost being.

The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down into the person’s innermost being.

The one who goes about gossiping reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with someone who is always opening his mouth.

Slanderous men shed blood within you. Those who live within you eat pagan sacrifices on the mountains; they commit obscene acts among you.

You must not go about as a slanderer among your people. You must not stand idly by when your neighbor’s life is at stake. I am the Lord.
