May your father and your mother have joy; may she who bore you rejoice.

The Proverbs of Solomon: A wise child makes a father rejoice, but a foolish child is a grief to his mother.

A foolish child is a grief to his father, and bitterness to the mother who bore him.

My child, if your heart is wise, then my heart also will be glad;

Give me your heart, my son, and let your eyes observe my ways;

Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad, so that I may answer anyone who taunts me.

Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown great mercy to her, and they rejoiced with her.
