So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Because God has enabled you to know all this, there is no one as wise and discerning as you are!

I will humiliate his enemies, and his crown will shine.

so I myself will laugh when disaster strikes you, I will mock when what you dread comes,

The wicked are overthrown and perish, but the righteous household will stand.

Better is a person of humble standing who nevertheless has a servant, than one who pretends to be somebody important yet has no food.

An unjust person is an abomination to the righteous, and the one who lives an upright life is an abomination to the wicked.

The wise inherit honor, but he holds fools up to public contempt.

Who is a wise person? Who knows the solution to a problem? A person’s wisdom brightens his appearance, and softens his harsh countenance.

Many of those who sleep in the dusty ground will awake – some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting abhorrence.

The master commended the dishonest manager because he acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their contemporaries than the people of light.

Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, says, ‘I really did say that your house and your ancestor’s house would serve me forever.’ But now the Lord says, ‘May it never be! For I will honor those who honor me, but those who despise me will be cursed!

Now be aware of this, and see what you can do. For disaster has been planned for our lord and his entire household. He is such a wicked person that no one tells him anything!”
