True righteousness leads to life, but the one who pursues evil pursues it to his own death.

Elijah said to the king, “This is what the Lord says, ‘You sent messengers to seek an oracle from Baal Zebub, the god of Ekron. You must think there is no God in Israel from whom you can seek an oracle! Therefore you will not leave the bed you lie on, for you will certainly die.’”

Therefore this is what the Lord says, “You will not leave the bed you lie on, for you will certainly die!”’” So Elijah went on his way.

The reward which the righteous receive is life; the recompense which the wicked receive is judgment.

Wealth does not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from mortal danger.

For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You must pursue justice alone so that you may live and inherit the land the Lord your God is giving you.

Then when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death.

By this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: Everyone who does not practice righteousness – the one who does not love his fellow Christian – is not of God.

Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as Jesus is righteous.
