A righteous person cares for the life of his animal, but even the most compassionate acts of the wicked are cruel.

A fool’s annoyance is known at once, but the prudent overlooks an insult.

This is the unfortunate fact about everything that happens on earth: the same fate awaits everyone. In addition to this, the hearts of all people are full of evil, and there is folly in their hearts during their lives – then they die.

The donkey said to Balaam, “Am not I your donkey that you have ridden ever since I was yours until this day? Have I ever attempted to treat you this way?” And he said, “No.”

For out of the heart come evil ideas, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.
