He threatened to destroy them, but Moses, his chosen one, interceded with him and turned back his destructive anger.

O Lord our God, you answered them. They found you to be a forgiving God, but also one who punished their sinful deeds.

Then the Lord relented over the evil that he had said he would do to his people.

Moses said to Pharaoh, “You may have the honor over me – when shall I pray for you, your servants, and your people, for the frogs to be removed from you and your houses, so that they will be left only in the Nile?”

The Lord says, “The people of Israel who survived death at the hands of the enemy will find favor in the wilderness as they journey to find rest for themselves.

So confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great effectiveness.
