But the Pharisees said, “By the ruler of demons he casts out demons.”
It is enough for the disciple to become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house ‘Beelzebul,’ how much more will they defame the members of his household!
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon!’
Then they brought to him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute. Jesus healed him so that he could speak and see.
And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? For this reason they will be your judges.
The experts in the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and, “By the ruler of demons he casts out demons.”
But some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the ruler of demons, he casts out demons.”
For everyone who does evil deeds hates the light and does not come to the light, so that their deeds will not be exposed.
The crowd answered, “You’re possessed by a demon! Who is trying to kill you?”
