Matthew 9:2

Just then some people brought to him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Have courage, son! Your sins are forgiven.”

Go, eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, because God has already approved your works.

So a report about him spread throughout Syria. People brought to him all who suffered with various illnesses and afflictions, those who had seizures, paralytics, and those possessed by demons, and he healed them.

When it was evening, many demon-possessed people were brought to him. He drove out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.

But when Jesus turned and saw her he said, “Have courage, daughter! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed from that hour.

Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’?

But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” – then he said to the paralytic – “Stand up, take your stretcher, and go home.”

When it was evening, after sunset, they brought to him all who were sick and demon-possessed.

Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage! Get up! He is calling you.”

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them: “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering, but take courage – I have conquered the world.”

He did not need anyone to testify about man, for he knew what was in man.

So Jesus said to them, “Children, you don’t have any fish, do you?” They replied, “No.”

This man was listening to Paul as he was speaking. When Paul stared intently at him and saw he had faith to be healed,

so that when even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his body were brought to the sick, their diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Have courage, for just as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

Not only this, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received this reconciliation.

But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith by my works.
