May the one who comes in the name of the Lord be blessed! We will pronounce blessings on you in the Lord’s temple.

For the Israelites must live many days without a king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred fertility pillar, without ephod or idols.

“I will pour out on the kingship of David and the population of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication so that they will look to me, the one they have pierced. They will lament for him as one laments for an only son, and there will be a bitter cry for him like the bitter cry for a firstborn.

The crowds that went ahead of him and those following kept shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

Then he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

In a little while the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.

Jesus replied, “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Then Jesus said to them again, “I am going away, and you will look for me but will die in your sin. Where I am going you cannot come.”

Thus I told you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins.”

Your father Abraham was overjoyed to see my day, and he saw it and was glad.”

For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: A partial hardening has happened to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.
