The crowd scolded them to get them to be quiet. But they shouted even more loudly, “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”

But he did not answer her a word. Then his disciples came and begged him, “Send her away, because she keeps on crying out after us.”

Then little children were brought to him for him to lay his hands on them and pray. But the disciples scolded those who brought them.

Two blind men were sitting by the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they shouted, “Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David!”

Jesus stopped, called them, and said, “What do you want me to do for you?”

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, shouting, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

And those who were in front scolded him to get him to be quiet, but he shouted even more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Be devoted to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.
