The words he speaks are sinful and deceitful; he does not care about doing what is wise and right.

The lips of the righteous know what is pleasing, but the speech of the wicked is perverse.

The tongue of the wise treats knowledge correctly, but the mouth of the fool spouts out folly.

The heart of the righteous considers how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.

Guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it are the sources of life.

A worthless and wicked person walks around saying perverse things;

Offspring of vipers! How are you able to say anything good, since you are evil? For the mouth speaks from what fills the heart.

What defiles a person is not what goes into the mouth; it is what comes out of the mouth that defiles a person.”

Don’t you understand that whatever goes into the mouth enters the stomach and then passes out into the sewer?

He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him.

The king said to him, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you wicked slave! So you knew, did you, that I was a severe man, withdrawing what I didn’t deposit and reaping what I didn’t sow?

It’s like the old proverb says: ‘From evil people evil proceeds.’ But my hand will not be against you.
