But Peter said to him, “Explain this parable to us.”
“So listen to the parable of the sower:
Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds in the field.”
Jesus said, “Even after all this, are you still so foolish?
He did not speak to them without a parable. But privately he explained everything to his own disciples.
Now when Jesus had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about the parable.
His disciples said, “Look, now you are speaking plainly and not in obscure figures of speech!
