And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe.
If I summoned him, and he answered me, I would not believe that he would be listening to my voice –
Moses told this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and hard labor.
When they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted.
He answered them, “You unbelieving generation! How much longer must I be with you? How much longer must I endure you? Bring him to me.”
But these words seemed like pure nonsense to them, and they did not believe them.
And while they still could not believe it (because of their joy) and were amazed, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”
The other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “Unless I see the wounds from the nails in his hands, and put my finger into the wounds from the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will never believe it!”
