Mark 10:1

Then Jesus left that place and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan River. Again crowds gathered to him, and again, as was his custom, he taught them.

Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also taught knowledge to the people; he carefully evaluated and arranged many proverbs.

They have turned away from me instead of turning to me. I tried over and over again to instruct them, but they did not listen and respond to correction.

At that moment Jesus said to the crowd, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest me like you would an outlaw? Day after day I sat teaching in the temple courts, yet you did not arrest me.

Jesus went throughout all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of disease and sickness among the people.

Then they went to Capernaum. When the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.

Then some Pharisees came, and to test him they asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he said, “How is it that the experts in the law say that the Christ is David’s son?

Day after day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, yet you did not arrest me. But this has happened so that the scriptures would be fulfilled.”

Jesus went out again by the sea. The whole crowd came to him, and he taught them.

He taught them many things in parables, and in his teaching said to them:

When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue. Many who heard him were astonished, saying, “Where did he get these ideas? And what is this wisdom that has been given to him? What are these miracles that are done through his hands?

As Jesus came ashore he saw the large crowd and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he taught them many things.

And he was amazed because of their unbelief. Then he went around among the villages and taught.

Jesus went back across the Jordan River again to the place where John had been baptizing at an earlier time, and he stayed there.

Then after this, he said to his disciples, “Let us go to Judea again.”

Jesus replied, “I have spoken publicly to the world. I always taught in the synagogues and in the temple courts, where all the Jewish people assemble together. I have said nothing in secret.
