After looking around at them all, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” The man did so, and his hand was restored.

The king pled with the prophet, “Seek the favor of the Lord your God and pray for me, so that my hand may be restored.” So the prophet sought the Lord’s favor and the king’s hand was restored to its former condition.

He sent them an assuring word and healed them; he rescued them from the pits where they were trapped.

After looking around at them in anger, grieved by the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

But they were filled with mindless rage and began debating with one another what they would do to Jesus.

Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save a life or to destroy it?”

Jesus said to him, “Stand up! Pick up your mat and walk.”
