Then the second one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has made five minas.’
But as for the seed sown on good soil, this is the person who hears the word and understands. He bears fruit, yielding a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.”
The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’
But these are the ones sown on good soil: They hear the word and receive it and bear fruit, one thirty times as much, one sixty, and one a hundred.”
And he summoned ten of his slaves, gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business with these until I come back.’
And the king said to him, ‘Well done, good slave! Because you have been faithful in a very small matter, you will have authority over ten cities.’
So the king said to him, ‘And you are to be over five cities.’
For if the eagerness is present, the gift itself is acceptable according to whatever one has, not according to what he does not have.
