Luke 16:2

So he called the manager in and said to him, ‘What is this I hear about you? Turn in the account of your administration, because you can no longer be my manager.’

For God will evaluate every deed, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.

I tell you that on the day of judgment, people will give an account for every worthless word they speak.

When it was evening the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the workers and give the pay starting with the last hired until the first.’

But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

The Lord replied, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his household servants, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time?

Jesus also said to the disciples, “There was a rich man who was informed of accusations that his manager was wasting his assets.

Then the manager said to himself, ‘What should I do, since my master is taking my position away from me? I’m not strong enough to dig, and I’m too ashamed to beg.

Therefore, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

For members of Chloe’s household have made it clear to me, my brothers and sisters, that there are quarrels among you.

Now what is sought in stewards is that one be found faithful.

So then, do not judge anything before the time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the motives of hearts. Then each will receive recognition from God.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be paid back according to what he has done while in the body, whether good or evil.

Do not neglect the spiritual gift you have, given to you and confirmed by prophetic words when the elders laid hands on you.

The sins of some people are obvious, going before them into judgment, but for others, they show up later.

Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God.

They will face a reckoning before Jesus Christ who stands ready to judge the living and the dead.

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne. Then books were opened, and another book was opened – the book of life. So the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to their deeds.
