At the time for the banquet he sent his slave to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, because everything is now ready.’

But Jesus said to him, “A man once gave a great banquet and invited many guests.

But one after another they all began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. Please excuse me.’

On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me, and

Brothers, descendants of Abraham’s family, and those Gentiles among you who fear God, the message of this salvation has been sent to us.

And all these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
