Then he said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,

and forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And do not lead us into temptation.”

because a friend of mine has stopped here while on a journey, and I have nothing to set before him.’
