Now the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they began to wonder why he was delayed in the holy place.

When he came out, he was not able to speak to them. They realized that he had seen a vision in the holy place, because he was making signs to them and remained unable to speak.

And blessed is she who believed that what was spoken to her by the Lord would be fulfilled.”

Immediately Zechariah’s mouth was opened and his tongue released, and he spoke, blessing God.

What then? If some did not believe, does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God?

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself.

in hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the ages began.

so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.
