The governor instructed them not to eat any of the sacred food until there was a priest who could consult the Urim and Thummim.

For seven days you are to make atonement for the altar and set it apart as holy. Then the altar will be most holy. Anything that touches the altar will be holy.

They may eat the grain offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering, and every devoted thing in Israel will be theirs.

He said to me, “This is the place where the priests will boil the guilt offering and the sin offering, and where they will bake the grain offering, so that they do not bring them out to the outer court to transmit holiness to the people.”

The thigh of the contribution offering and the breast of the wave offering they must bring in addition to the gifts of the fat parts to wave them as a wave offering before the Lord, and it will belong to you and your sons with you for a perpetual statute just as the Lord has commanded.”

He must then slaughter the male lamb in the place where the sin offering and the burnt offering are slaughtered, in the sanctuary, because, like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest; it is most holy.

The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and to his sons – it is most holy from the gifts of the Lord.

He may eat both the most holy and the holy food of his God,

So the priest will make atonement on his behalf for his sin which he has committed by doing one of these things, and he will be forgiven. The remainder of the offering will belong to the priest like the grain offering.’”

The priest who offers it for sin is to eat it. It must be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the Meeting Tent.

“Command Aaron and his sons, ‘This is the law of the burnt offering. The burnt offering is to remain on the hearth on the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar must be kept burning on it.

The law is the same for the sin offering and the guilt offering; it belongs to the priest who makes atonement with it.

Every grain offering which is baked in the oven or made in the pan or on the griddle belongs to the priest who presented it.

Of all the most holy offerings reserved from the fire this will be yours: Every offering of theirs, whether from every grain offering or from every purification offering or from every reparation offering which they bring to me, will be most holy for you and for your sons.

I chose your ancestor from all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer sacrifice on my altar, to burn incense, and to bear the ephod before me. I gave to your ancestor’s house all the fire offerings made by the Israelites.
