They do not belong to the world just as I do not belong to the world.

I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world.

Jesus replied, “You people are from below; I am from above. You people are from this world; I am not from this world.

They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world’s perspective and the world listens to them.
