When he had said these things, Jesus was greatly distressed in spirit, and testified, “I tell you the solemn truth, one of you will betray me.”

And while they were eating he said, “I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me.”

Then he said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.”

While they were at the table eating, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, one of you eating with me will betray me.”

After looking around at them in anger, grieved by the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the people who had come with her weeping, he was intensely moved in spirit and greatly distressed.

Jesus, intensely moved again, came to the tomb. (Now it was a cave, and a stone was placed across it.)

“Now my soul is greatly distressed. And what should I say? ‘Father, deliver me from this hour’? No, but for this very reason I have come to this hour.

“What I am saying does not refer to all of you. I know the ones I have chosen. But this is to fulfill the scripture, ‘The one who eats my bread has turned against me.’

The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, that he should betray Jesus.

The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexed to know which of them he was talking about.

While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, his spirit was greatly upset because he saw the city was full of idols.

They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us, because if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But they went out from us to demonstrate that all of them do not belong to us.
