Jesus replied, “The light is with you for a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. The one who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going.

The way of the wicked is like gloomy darkness; they do not know what causes them to stumble.

O descendants of Jacob, come, let us walk in the Lord’s guiding light.

So the paths they follow will be dark and slippery. They will stumble and fall headlong. For I will bring disaster on them. A day of reckoning is coming for them.” The Lord affirms it!

They told him, “Jesus the Nazarene is passing by.”

But if anyone walks around at night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

Jesus replied, “Are there not twelve hours in a day? If anyone walks around in the daytime, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become sons of light.” When Jesus had said these things, he went away and hid himself from them.

I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes in me should not remain in darkness.

In a little while you will see me no longer; again after a little while, you will see me.”

Then Jesus said, “I will be with you for only a little while longer, and then I am going to the one who sent me.

Then Jesus spoke out again, “I am the light of the world. The one who follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

But their minds were closed. For to this very day, the same veil remains when they hear the old covenant read. It has not been removed because only in Christ is it taken away.

So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.

for you were at one time darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light –
