Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert what is right?

Far be it from you to do such a thing – to kill the godly with the wicked, treating the godly and the wicked alike! Far be it from you! Will not the judge of the whole earth do what is right?”

Respect the Lord and make careful decisions, for the Lord our God disapproves of injustice, partiality, and bribery.”

Is it good for you to oppress, to despise the work of your hands, while you smile on the schemes of the wicked?

know then that God has wronged me and encircled me with his net.

Let his own eyes see his destruction; let him drink of the anger of the Almighty.

For Job says, ‘I am innocent, but God turns away my right.

Surely it is an empty cry – God does not hear it; the Almighty does not take notice of it.

Who has prescribed his ways for him? Or said to him, ‘You have done what is wicked’?

With my knowledge I will speak comprehensively, and to my Creator I will ascribe righteousness.

As for the Almighty, we cannot attain to him! He is great in power, but justice and abundant righteousness he does not oppress.

“Is a mortal man righteous before God? Or a man pure before his Creator?

“Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let the person who accuses God give him an answer!”

Would you indeed annul my justice? Would you declare me guilty so that you might be right?

“Truly, I know that this is so. But how can a human be just before God?

Equity and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loyal love and faithfulness characterize your rule.

The king is strong; he loves justice. You ensure that legal decisions will be made fairly; you promote justice and equity in Jacob.

“Yet you say, ‘The Lord’s conduct is unjust!’ Hear, O house of Israel: Is my conduct unjust? Is it not your conduct that is unjust?

“Yet your people say, ‘The behavior of the Lord is not right,’ when it is their behavior that is not right.

Yet you say, ‘The behavior of the Lord is not right.’ House of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his behavior.”

The lord was mindful of the calamity, and he brought it on us. For the lord our God is just in all he has done, and we have not obeyed him.

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed!

As for the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. He is a reliable God who is never unjust, he is fair and upright.

They sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb: “Great and astounding are your deeds, Lord God, the All-Powerful! Just and true are your ways, King over the nations!

Then I heard the altar reply, “Yes, Lord God, the All-Powerful, your judgments are true and just!”
