Then Job answered the Lord:
Job spoke up and said:
“Has anyone said to God, ‘I have endured chastisement, but I will not act wrongly any more.
“Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let the person who accuses God give him an answer!”
“Indeed, I am completely unworthy – how could I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself.
Therefore I despise myself, and I repent in dust and ashes!
After the Lord had spoken these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “My anger is stirred up against you and your two friends, because you have not spoken about me what is right, as my servant Job has.
So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you.
